Hello again! A news anchor just reminded us that Christmas is just 45 days away. It’s hard to believe how quickly the calendar has flipped, but here we are, reaching out once more for your support as we begin our mission to care for those in need.

This year, we’re especially concerned about the funding required to assist children, families, and the elderly in our community through the Hill Country Christmas Bureau. We ask you to consider helping those right here at home instead of sending your support elsewhere. Over the past 43 years, we’ve never had to turn anyone away with the words, “Sorry, we can’t help you.” We hope this year will be no different.

The challenges facing our neighbors are heartbreaking. Many are struggling to secure basic necessities like food and shelter due to prolonged illness, accidents, the loss of a loved one, or other tragedies that threaten their well-being.

Many of our donations are typically collected through our GIVING TREES. We invite individuals and organizations to purchase gifts from these trees. If you’d like, you can also choose to buy a gift from AMAZON. Any gifts ordered from Amazon can be sent to: Hill Country Christmas Bureau, 1624 Shenandoah Drive, Cedar Park, Texas 78613.

In addition to gifts, we will be seeking monetary donations and gift cards so we can purchase items like Honey Baked Ham, as well as gift cards for Walmart, HEB, Target, McDonald's, Sonic, Whataburger, and Chili’s for our clients. These can also be mailed to us.

If you’re able to adopt a family in need, please reach out to us. We also welcome any financial contributions or encouragement for others to give, whether in schools, places of worship, or workplaces. The need is urgent, and the number of individuals seeking assistance is overwhelming. Now is the time to take action.

Together, we can provide dignity and hope to those in our community who are silently suffering. Thank you for your support. You can trust that your contributions will help foster health and stability for many this year. For more information, please visit our website at www.hillcountrychristmas.org.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Dianne Gattuso, Director
